We cater throughout the Boulder and Denver areas, offering a range of services for your wedding, corporate, or private event. Our goal is to provide exceptional food, innovative presentations, and professional service that exceeds our clients’ expectations. Our dependable team of event planners, chefs, and servers will ensure success as we understand the significance of your occasion. About Us
Where It All Began
Savory Catering emerged as a simple private chef entity, but has grown significantly into a highly respected professional catering company. Executive Chef Bob Sargent started Savory Catering in 2003 as a way to combine his passion for food with his business acumen.
Bob has devoted his time to learning many different cooking styles and culinary skills over his 20 plus years as a chef. He has taught cooking in Bhutan and Thailand and has received diverse training including pastry apprenticeships in Switzerland and Germany. Since starting Savory Catering Bob has been a private food consultant for several major organizations, opened two corporate cafeterias and a take-out window, and partnered with Avery Brewery Co.
Of course the success of Savory Catering is largely due to the efforts of Bob Sargent, but more so, we would not be who we are today as a company without our trusted staff and loyal clients.

Originally from Elmira, New York, he now calls the breathtaking landscapes of Boulder home. When he’s not crafting delectable menus and orchestrating unforgettable events, you’ll often find him pounding the pavement on a morning run, pushing boundaries in the weight room, or savoring the finer things in life with a glass of Grand Marnier in hand. Combining his New York hustle with Boulder’s laid-back charm, he’s the driving force behind every exquisite dish and memorable moment we serve.
